Occupational Therapy

Helping you get back to your day-to-day routine.

Occupational therapy focuses on the ability to engage in meaningful activities of daily living such as self feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and domestic or home management skills. Our occupational therapists provide retraining using compensatory techniques and adaptive devices as needed.

Hand therapy and splinting can be provided for upper extremities. The ultimate goal of occupational therapy is to provide a means of greater independence and improve patient quality of life. Occupational therapists help the patient regain independence with self care, upper extremity function and cognitive abilities. An occupational therapist on staff is Lymphedema Certified.

The occupational therapy plan of care relies heavily on interaction between patient, family, caregivers and the interdisciplinary team.
