Speech Therapy

Helping restore your ability to communicate.

Speech therapy includes prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of communication, swallowing, and cognition of the patient. The plan of care is designed to address articulation, fluency, language comprehension, expression, processing, and oral/laryngeal muscle strength and coordination in regards to safe swallowing.

We also offer LSVT Loud - specialized service for patients with Parkinson or Parkinson's like symptoms to improve vocal quality.

The speech therapists are highly trained to address and help patient overcome communication conditions as well as swallowing difficulties. The patient's deficits in memory, attention, and problem solving are assessed and treated as part of the plan of care.

Speech therapists work closely with the interdisciplinary staff to ensure patients' safety and communicate diet needs and changes.
